Patient Case Histories
While clinical case histories say a lot about how CAAT has helped people over the years, there’s nothing like letters from CAAT patients to really emphasize the power of our bio-nutritional cancer treatment. We’ve grown very close and involved in these people’s lives. What brought them to us was indeed tragic, but we’re thankful for the opportunity to get to know them and help them to recovery or to significantly improve their health. The overall mission of the A. P. John Institute for Cancer Research is saving people’s lives. But every case is in a world by itself. The fact that we had something to do with preserving those worlds makes us feel honored and fulfilled. Here are several examples of what CAAT patients, their loved ones, or friends have written to us in gratitude and appreciation.
Dear A. P. John,
My name is Mabel Piper and I am the grandmother of Trev Piper. Trev passed away last week. My daughter, Joanne Lidster, contacted you about your cancer research. Trev and Cathie then contacted you and were very grateful for all your help in improving the quality of his life during his difficult battle with colon cancer. All of our families and friends appreciate your advice to help our Trev fight this battle. Although we lost him last week, we thank you so much for your tireless work in cancer research. We appreciate so much every additional day we had with Trev and miss him very much. My sister, Eunice Storey, Trev’s aunt, expresses her sincere appreciation of your care and concern as well. Eunice, who is a retired nurse, helps us so much with all of our health concerns. My other daughter, Lois, and her daughter, Belinda, both of whom are also nurses, worked many hours on Trev’s behalf as well. Again, our sincerest best wishes for your continued progress and thanks again for being there for Trev.
Sincerely,
Mabel Piper
Dear Mr. John, Darien, CT I have wanted to write to you for some time to express my gratitude for the help you and your therapy have provided me. I was diagnosed, as you know, with malignant lymphoma in 1988. In 1994, the disease, which had been somewhat quiescent, erupted in the form of several large swellings in my neck. I refused conventional medicine, as I had consistently done since 1988. After trying several alternatives with no success, I began your Controlled Amino Acid Therapy program and within three months a large lymphatic swelling (the size of a large hen’s egg) under my right jaw began to soften and shrink. It continued to shrink and today there is no evidence of that swelling. I feel confident that your therapy was the agent involved in the reduction of that tumor. I thank you very much and hope that others can hear of, appreciate, and benefit from the exceptional therapy you have developed.
Sincerely,
Peter M. Angelo
Dear Angelo, Wimberly, Texas
Thanks to you and your Amino Acid Therapy I feel good... One year after my last Amino Acid Treatment. No amount of words can express my true appreciation to you and the care you expressed to me each time we spoke on the phone throughout the months of Amino Acid treatments. You made the illness of my cancer so much easier with your help and cheerful voice. My prayers to God to bless you and your work and to bless me daily made it possible for me to endure this terrible disease.
Again, my sincere thanks to you.

A fine example of goodwill is the letters our patients, their families, or friends write to prominent persons in the cancer research community advocating that health insurance companies approve CAAT for reimbursements. A CAAT patient’s family wrote the following letter to her to State Assemblyman Ron Tucci.
Dear Assemblyman Tucci, Mamaroneck, NY
We would like you to know of our experience with Mr. Angelo John of the A. P. John Cancer Research Institute. We first became acquainted with Angelo John after seeing him on a local cable TV channel, and we’ll always be extremely grateful to him for the generous amount of time and help he gave us in recommending alternative therapy for my husband who was suffering from terminal cancer and kidney failure. Because of Angelo’s recommendations, my husband no longer suffers from the excruciating pain (from liver cancer), which his doctors had previously treated him for with large doses of hallucinogenic painkillers and morphine. Under Angelo’s care, my husband became completely pain free. My husband’s doctors failed to acknowledge this dramatic difference.
Such a talent will always be ahead of its time. Angelo’s fortitude, perseverance, tenacity and faith will undoubtedly help heal those in the community who are stricken with cancer. Let’s only hope the community will have the courage to recognize Angelo’s tremendous communal meaning and repay him for his lifetime devotion to helping others.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Joseph P. Dayton, Donna C. Dayton, Marie Dachnowicz
