Lung Cancer Treatment and Research

Lung cancer is one of the most common cancers there is a need for cancer treatment and research about.  Are you a smoker?  Whether you smoke or not, you might be at risk although smokers have a significant risk of contracting lung cancer.  Cancer treatment and research has come a long way in recent years for people with all types of cancer, including cancer of the lungs.

Symptoms of lung cancer can present like other illnesses so it’s important that your doctor is thorough when testing you for symptoms.  Chronic cough and wheezing as well as coughing up blood are concerns that may require testing. The history of cancer treatment and research shows us that the earlier the disease is diagnosed, the better the survival rate is.

Lung cancer can be treated via a variety of ways including surgery such as segmentectomy, lobectomy, thorasic surgery, radiation, chemotherapy and other alternative treatments including integrative therapy.  Lung cancer treatment and research information shows that a multiple level approach is often going to give the patient a better chance of survival.

Today cancer treatment and research shows that other methods including diet and CAAT therapy can also help. Controlling the amino acids, the protein and the carbohydrate intake by cancer patients through a structured approach can have a big impact on the ability for cancer cells to survive. Your doctor may be aware of controlled amino acid therapy and other alternative treatments or may not be. It’s been shown that diet can have a big impact on treatment and can be used as a complimentary method to beat lung cancer, instead of an alternative to regular treatment. Fructose and vinegar are key players in this therapy and can help shut down cancer cells.

Lung cancer patients rely on cancer treatment and research in the hopes that their disease will not spread. A tumor could be detected early enough for complete remission but staging is a big part of the treatment plan. If your stage is advanced or your cancer has spread to other parts of your body, this reduces your chances of cancer treatment and research helping you.

A healthy lifestyle that supports clean lungs and regular medical checkups, especially if you have a predisposition due to heredity for cancer are two things you can do to combat the disease and detect problems early. Cancer treatment and research including CAAT and new methods of fighting lung cancer are worth discussing with your doctor.
