Alternative Cancer Treatment

Alternative cancer treatment is a group of therapeutic remedies used in place of conventional medicine for the purpose of treatment of cancer.

Alternative Options

There are a vast series of alternative cancer treatment options available for cure of various types of cancer. Here we’ve briefly explained some of the most common products and therapies used as a part of alternative cancer treatment. Such options are often used as a part of alternative cervical cancer treatment, alternative bladder cancer treatment and colon cancer alternative treatment.

i) Nutritional and herbal therapy - This therapy includes antioxidant supplements, which generally include fruits, vegetables, nuts, grains and some meats.

ii) Alakaline diet – A diet enriched with alkaline foods includes foods that are not acidic and are likely to cure cancer, mainly including fruits and vegetables.

iii) Essiac – This is a herbal tea mixture that supposedly relieves pain and reduces the size of tumors.

iv) Laetrile – This is a purified form of amygdalin and is generally taken orally or as an injection.  

v) Macrobiotic diet – This is strictly a vegetarian diet and requires the patient to derive almost half of the daily calories from whole grains, some from the calories from vegetables and the rest from beans, seaweed and soups.

Colon therapy, Gerson therapy, Gonzalez treatment and various chemical and animal-based treatments including 714-X, antineoplastons, coenzyme Q 10 and Shark cartilage are other options available as a part of the alternative cancer treatment.

In addition, the following forms of alternative cancer treatment options are also being validated through clinical trials:

• Acupuncture
• Combination chemotherapy
• Hyperbaric oxygen
• Massage therapy
• Pancreatic enzyme, in combination with chemotherapy
• Mistletoe extract and chemotherapy

Specific Diseases

Diseases such as the cervical cancer often respond to very well to alternative treatments. In fact, recent research shows that procedures such as alternative cervical cancer treatment showed highly effective results in patients, even in the absence of conventional treatment.

Similarly, the alternative bladder cancer treatment is also known to provide positive results in a majority of cases. Bladder cancer is the most frequent malignant tumor of the urinary tract and usually occurs in the fifth through seventh decade. Hence, due to the age factor, the patients of this disease respond better to alternative treatments than they do to conventional forms of medication owing to the potential side effects.

Meanwhile, for the colon cancer alternative treatment, remedies like Noni Juice has proven to be quite effective, in addition to the above discussed treatments. A high fiber diet, Ellagic Acid, Poly-MVA and Graviola are some of the other effective forms of colon cancer alternative treatment.

Overall, the alternative cancer treatment plan should be devised in accordance with the conventional medicine schedule and patient’s general medical history.
